Limits of Detection
The limits of detection (LOD) are measures of the sensitivity of an assay. The lower limit of detection (LLOD) is the smallest concentration of an analyte that can be statistically distinguished from no analyte. The upper limit of detection (ULOD) is the largest concentration that can be statistically distinguished from an infinite, i.e. very large, concentration.
